Windows on Arm now has over 7,000 verified apps and games ahead of RTX Spark PCs

VideoCardz reports that Microsoft's Works on Windows on Arm database now contains more than 7,000 verified apps and games. The latest additions span productivity, development, STEM, security, and entertainment software, including Cursor, Microsoft Power BI, ShareX, Proton Drive, WPS Office, Affinity by Canva, Discord, Inkscape, MAGIX VEGAS Pro, Maxon Redshift, Proton Mail, Signal, and the Perplexity Comet Browser.

The database also lists development and technical tools such as Arduino IDE, DBeaver, MathWorks MATLAB, Project Jupyter Notebook, QGIS QField, and ZWCAD. New security and endpoint-management entries include Acronis Cyber Protect, Cisco Duo, Sophos Endpoint Security, Tenable Nessus, and Surfshark Antivirus. Microsoft’s figure refers to verified software that works on Windows on Arm, not 7,000 native Arm64 applications: some programs run natively, while others use the Prism translation layer.

The update arrives as NVIDIA’s RTX Spark systems approach their fall launch from Microsoft Surface, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and MSI. For Canadian buyers, a broader verified software catalogue reduces one of the practical risks of adopting NVIDIA’s first Windows on Arm PC platform, especially for productivity, development, and creative work. Gaming remains a separate question: NVIDIA has shown selected titles and is working with publishers on Arm-compatible anti-cheat support, so shoppers should still check title-specific compatibility and retail driver support before buying.
