NVIDIA's Gamescom 2026 Recap: DLSS 4.5 RR, RTX Spark, & More
TechPorn reports that NVIDIA used its Gamescom 2026 briefing to launch DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction, expand its RTX Remix remastering program, and provide new details about the RTX Spark laptop platform. DLSS 4.5 is available through the NVIDIA app as a one-click upgrade, using a second-generation transformer model that NVIDIA says improves temporal accumulation, denoising, and spatial awareness for sharper ray-traced output. The briefing also highlighted RTX Remix projects for Painkiller, Morrowind, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, Prototype, and Fallout 4, with DLSS 4.5 coming to RTX Remix itself.
The Gamescom update also covered AI and software support. Krafton is using NVIDIA ACE for on-device AI teammates in PUBG: Battlegrounds, while ACE is planned for Aniimo in early 2027. NVIDIA's app update adds per-game controls for Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and Ray Reconstruction, and GeForce NOW is receiving DLSS 4.5 controls across hundreds of titles. For RTX Spark, NVIDIA reiterated a fall launch focused on local AI workloads, 120-billion-parameter agents, 1-million-token context, portability, and gaming and creation performance. EA is bringing Javelin anticheat, Ubisoft is bringing titles including Anno 117: Pax Romana, and Embark is bringing Arc Raiders and The Finals.
For Canadian buyers and developers following RTX Spark, this briefing adds ecosystem detail rather than a firm retail price or Canadian availability date. The combination of native anti-cheat support, publisher participation, and NVIDIA's broader AI and gaming software stack reduces some launch uncertainty, but final performance, battery life, retailer inventory, and title-by-title compatibility will still need to be assessed on production systems when they arrive this fall.
