Nvidia RTX Spark laptops, desktops arrive in October from six manufacturers

TechSpot reports that NVIDIA's RTX Spark platform will bring Windows laptops and compact desktops to market in October from ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft Surface, and MSI, with Acer and Gigabyte expected to follow. The platform is built around a Grace Blackwell system-on-chip: a 20-core Arm CPU, a Blackwell RTX GPU with 6,144 CUDA cores, and up to 128GB of unified LPDDR5X memory. NVIDIA says the design can deliver up to one petaflop of FP4 AI compute and use a shared memory pool for local AI, creation, and gaming workloads.

The report frames RTX Spark as a broader software and platform push rather than only a new processor. NVIDIA is working with Microsoft on Windows on Arm support, while older x86 applications can use the Prism emulator and Adobe is preparing native optimizations for creative tools. TechSpot notes that NVIDIA has discussed more than 30 laptops and 10 desktops over time, but the company has not yet supplied the comparative CPU results, game benchmarks, pricing, or detailed battery measurements needed to judge the systems against Intel, AMD, Apple, and Qualcomm platforms.

For Canadian buyers, the October schedule provides a clearer target for watching retailer listings, but it does not confirm Canadian configurations, prices, warranty terms, or launch-day stock. The six initial manufacturers have different distribution channels and may release systems at different times. Prospective buyers should compare unified-memory capacity, storage, cooling, battery performance, Windows on Arm compatibility, and independent benchmarks once production hardware is available.
