Jensen Huang says Nvidia wants to 'reinvent the single most important tool of humanity' with RTX Spark

Tom's Hardware reports that Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has declared the company's ambition to "reinvent the single most important tool of humanity" with RTX Spark, framing the new Arm-based PC platform as the catalyst for a fundamental shift toward agentic computing. In an interview following the Computex 2026 unveiling, Huang explained that computing at every scale is moving from systems that passively wait for user input to an agentic loop where AI agents autonomously work to complete tasks.

Huang emphasized that RTX Spark isn't fundamentally about business concerns like margins, but about transforming how people interact with computers. He envisions a future where users talk to AI agents running on their RTX Spark PCs via messaging platforms like WhatsApp, and those agents autonomously search files, summarize documents, generate content, and complete workflows across multiple applications. "Tell me that's not R2-D2. Tell me that's not robotics. Tell me that's not cool," Huang said during the interview.

According to Tom's Hardware, Huang dismissed comparisons between RTX Spark and Apple Silicon, asserting that Nvidia isn't trying to compete with Apple's M-series chips but is pursuing a fundamentally different vision of agent-centric computing. He also committed to long-term support for the RTX Spark platform, citing the Nvidia Shield TV's decade-long software support as precedent. Huang confirmed that Nvidia plans to "expand the footprint of this architecture" across future generations, signaling a multi-year roadmap beyond the initial N1 and N1X chips.
