HP unveils the world's thinnest Nvidia RTX Spark laptops for professionals and gamers alike

XDA reports that HP is preparing two RTX Spark laptops, the OmniBook Ultra 16 and OmniBook X 14, and describes them as the world's thinnest systems built around NVIDIA's new platform. The reported measurements are 15.73 mm at the rear for the Ultra 16 and 13.53 mm for the X 14. Both machines are positioned for professional creation, local AI, and gaming, although HP has not yet disclosed complete retail specifications.

The laptops are expected to support RTX Spark's headline capabilities, including local operation of models with up to 120 billion parameters and 12K 4:2:2 video editing in the 128GB configuration. XDA notes that HP has withheld display specifications, storage, battery capacity, ports, weight, and pricing, and cautions that the “world's thinnest” comparison may depend on how manufacturers measure chassis thickness. ASUS's ProArt P16, for example, has been quoted at 12.9 mm using a different measurement context.

For Canadian buyers, HP's designs expand the list of RTX Spark laptops to watch, but the report does not confirm Canadian configurations, pricing, retailer availability, warranty coverage, or launch timing. Shoppers should compare the exact unified-memory tier, cooling, battery, display, ports, Windows on Arm compatibility, and independent performance testing once HP publishes a full specification sheet.
