A creator clamshell, not the convertible
Lenovo’s IFA announcement identifies the Yoga Pro 9n as the performance-led laptop in this pair, separate from the Yoga 9n 2-in-1. The Pro has a one-finger-opening hinge and 15.3-inch OLED display; the earlier assumption that every Yoga model would have a 360-degree convertible hinge is removed. Its starting weight is 1.65kg, with touch an optional panel feature.
Memory and expansion for projects
The announcement specifies up to 128GB of 9400MT/s unified memory and two SSD slots with up to 4TB total storage. The slot descriptions distinguish Gen 4 and Gen 5 drives, so capacity and transfer speed depend on configuration. Lenovo also describes a pen-capable haptic Force Pad, which offers an input route without turning this clamshell into a tablet.
What remains open
The 15.3-inch panel is listed at 2560 × 1600 with variable refresh up to 165Hz. Its creator-oriented connectivity includes a UHS-II SD reader, useful to distinguish from the convertible’s UHS-I reader. Lenovo says pricing and availability will be announced later. Regional configurations, measured sustained speed and real battery endurance remain buying questions, not facts to fill using NVIDIA’s maximum platform specifications.
